World theater - no more and no less is the main work of the French poet and diplomat Paul Claudel (1868–1955). World theater because it encompasses the entire human existence, the themes of faith, mysticism, love, passion and also the foolishness of life. The director Hans Lietzau - who worked with Gustav Gründgens early on - had a terrific cast in his profound, humorous, powerful speech: Above all the character mime Maximilian Schell. The Schell, who was awarded the Oscar and Golden Globe, among other things, has always been a “theater man” and played in the most important houses from Munich to London. Famous theater actors such as Ernst Schröder, Marianne Hoppe, Kurt Meisel, Lambert Hamel, Sibylle Canonica and Lena Stolze are “at his side”.
