The Luther Yearbook 2014 documents previously unedited handwritten notes of Luther and presents new research on pre-Reformation piety including Lutheran political image propaganda from the 16th century. The Luther Yearbook 2014 documents previously unedited comments of Luther on individual writings of Melanchthon. The contributions range from the role of piety in the late Middle Ages to that of spirituality in Luther´s catechism, the position of the reformers from Wittenberg, the dissemination of Luther´s sermons and the Ernestine image propaganda. In addition to the richly faceted research contributions in both German and English, the Yearbook also contains book reviews of selected new publications from the field of Luther and Reformation research and its reception.

The Luther Yearbook 2014 presents and comments unpublished notes of Martin Luther on several works of Melanchthon. The contributors examine in manifold articles e.g. the late medieval Sprituality, the Spirituality of Luther's catechisms, the different receptions of the reformers in Wittenberg, the dissemination of Luther's doctrinal preachings up to the Ernestine image propaganda. It contains manifold articles in German and in English language. Furthermore the yearbook provides reviews of the important new publications on Luther and Reformation. Also part of the Lutherjahrbuch is the Luther-bibliography, that lists continuously new releases on Luther and his impact until today. Therefore this yearbook is a most powerful tool for the entire research on Luther.>
